Getting Started as a Company on FreelanceAudioVisual.com
April 6, 2026 · FreelanceAudioVisual.com
If you're a production company, event producer, or labor coordinator, FreelanceAudioVisual.com is designed to replace the spreadsheets, text chains, and Facebook group posts you've been using to staff shows. Here's how to get the most out of the platform.
Setting up your company
- Sign up at freelanceaudiovisual.com/signup/company
- Complete your profile — company name, logo, location, and a description of the work you do
- Choose a plan — during early access, company subscriptions start at $4.99/month with a 14-day free trial
Your company appears in the company directory, visible to techs who might want to work with you.
Finding technicians
Search the directory
Browse the technician directory filtered by state, city, or specialty. Every tech profile shows their specialties, experience, gear, availability status, and certifications.
Advanced search
Use the search page to filter by multiple criteria: location, specialty, years of experience, and availability. Find the exact tech you need for the gig.
Save to crew lists
When you find techs you want to work with, add them to your crew lists using the + button on their profile card. Build lists like "Favorites," "Audio Team," or "Nashville Crew" for fast access later.
Posting crew calls
Need crew fast? Post a crew call with:
- Multiple roles needed in a single post
- Venue, address, dates, and call times
- Pay rate (posts with rates get 3x more responses)
- Contact options: email, phone, or in-app messaging
Managing shows
The show management system is where everything comes together:
- Create a show with dates, venue, and client info
- Add positions — the roles you need to fill
- Assign crew from your lists or from search
- Track the pipeline — from invited to confirmed to completed
- Manage logistics — rates, travel info, hotel details
- Onboard crew — send W-9s, NDAs, and custom forms
The daily workflow
Most labor coordinators check three things each morning:
- Dashboard — pending confirmations, upcoming shows, new messages
- Crew Calls — responses to active postings
- Shows — crew status updates and logistics
The platform is designed to make this 10-minute check replace the hour you used to spend on emails, texts, and spreadsheets.
Start your 14-day free trial and see how much time you save on your next show.
